Political Dialogue

In post-conflict countries like Nepal the establishment of a sustainable political, economic, and social order needs space in which political leaders, academia, and civil society can come together. The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung provides and facilitates platforms for continuous dialogue, international and regional exchange, as well as joint reflection and analysis on important issues for Nepal’s present and future. The topics covered are wide ranging.

They include discussions on models of inclusive and sustainable economic development, as well as on the implementation of the constitution on all levels of government. Furthermore, the role of political parties, media, and parliament are prominent themes of seminars and workshops.
